I still dont see why people care about reddit karma. Its just a number?

The pessimist in me asks “will we ever have the chance?”.
By the time we “wake up” would we even have the opportunity to do anything about it? Or just accept it like other rising costs like, rent and food, because let’s be honest, technology is a necessity.
Even if you are completely closed of from AI as a profession, there are still way more possibilities, even in the same general field(computer science).
Even then you could go through a career change. He looks like hes in his 20s or 30s which isnt late at all.
Shoukd name it “Micro intelligence”.
Don’t even know why they think rebranding it will work
People aren’t stupid. Referring to shit with another word doesnt make it any less gross.
As always, Microsoft is always one step behind apple.
At least apple intelligence was a little clever, its abbreviation is still “AI”
But windows intelligence? That just sounds fucking stupid. As an operating system windows is not known for its intelligence. Stupid slow, bloated, spying sack of shit software.
Clicked on the link. Pronouns for a company is wild 😆
Thats why I feel so bad for that poster recently that said ai was the only friend he had and liked. He never understood what a friendship is. They aren’t just yes-men that approve of every single decision and beliefs. Their individuality and unique opinions keep your judgment clear and offer you different perspectives on matters.
Its because there’s no accountability for cybercrimes. If humans always had a button to burn down libraries, I’m sure they would have. Instead they had to put themselves in harms way to do such things.
People do things cause they can, and fucking with Wikipedia is apparently simple.
God its so useless
Sometimes I’ve noticed Google’s AI overview is a nearly word for word copy of the highest reddit result, or any result.
Its against YouTube’s TOS to download content, and to block advertisements. Another lesser known, and less enforced part of the TOS also covers content instructing how to download content and block ads. I’m pretty sure that’s the reason YouTube took it down at least.
On another note, huge props to Linus for teaching how to block ads on channel and company, with a hundred mouths to feed, majorly funded by advertisments. I know he caught a lot of shit before with gamer nexus, but they deserve props for this.
So much lost knowledge. Even on forums that remain, I feel as though 80% of all images no longer function. Especially frustrating when said image is constantly referred to.
People who use it (for forum type chatting) are probably trying to avoid non enshittified platforms. Ironically they don’t realize discord is heading towards the same path. Free screen sharing, high quality voice calls, image and video sharing and file sharing for FREE is not sustainable. Eventually they are going to crackdown on its users, which is unfortunate but predictable.
I find it hilarious that despite competition from a dozen game studios and publishers, steam essentially destroyed all of them by doing basically nothing and merely maintaining their service.
So so so much worse when the comment is deleted and OP replies “thanks!”
God what is it with every social media app sucking hot fucking garbage despite being the most popular way to access it?. Especially if the app was bearable and progressively got worse.
It’s because of the anonymity and lack of consequences. If it were in person they’d actually be confronted about it. Online however you can spout the most horrific shit all day ,every week and nothing could happen.
Place was loved by people because it was interesting and showed lots of human ingenuity. People were so angry that reddit abused it in an attempt to take attention away from the criticism and protests. Especially because it was assumed to only happen every 5 or so years, and having two close together felt very abusive by reddit.
Ohhh right. I remember subs had that bullshit. I didnt know about the shadowban thing though.
