The X1 was obsolete and underpowered when Nintendo chose it.
Play pikmin 4 and totk on the steam deck. Its hilarious that one of the top 3 consoles is emulated on a pc with integrated graphics.
You don’t like gaming. Stop doing it for a while and maybe your mind will care about it again.
Wasting away on the walled garden with no hope of escape.
Next round look into a pc and emulate your old library. Break your chains!
This one is great, and since it’s a linear game with basically no actual gameplay in The Medium you get pretty much the whole experience.

I hope this triggers a nice round of re releases. AC4 and For Answer are a couple of games that just do not emulate well. PC/PS5 ports would be delightful.
If you go by that logic then there would be no second place console in the market, because every game would exclusively be on the number one console.
Walled garden captivity for any platform has always been anti consumer profiteering and was perfected in the mid 90s after the atari clones all passed into history.
Ewww, epic games spam!
It’s one of the main reasons I got a clamp controller.
This is the way!
You’ve got the solution backwards. We don’t need ps5 to allow a third party store. The hardware is just another pc, any proprietary accelerators for inline decompression or not.
The solution is them releasing a store on other operating systems there’s nothing keeping them from releasing their apis and game engines in windows or Linux so they can easily release the ps5 store for general purpose PC.
I agree that this will never happen. Being pro consumer removes their control over said consumer. They’re stuck in the 80s mindset that came out after the atari debacle. Lock it down to block any and all outside innovation and police the platform to stamp out any competition that may profit off of their effort.
Steam is as open as it is because gaben has a hard limit on anti consumer lock in. There’s no steam exclusivity because steam itself doesn’t have any only steam for x years because money policy. That comes directly from the top.
Epic’s bullshit one year exclusivity trash caused a backlash that I still haven’t forgotten. No amount of free games will let a lot of us allow that camel’s nose into our tent.
Got all that stadia trash just laying around, Let’s roll it into youtube. Nobody will notice!
I miss MSDOS 6.22
How about we stop trying to force players to live in our walled garden and just try to sell software? The top three platforms are all just PCs anyway at this point.
I hope it sells well enough to get expanded content. Great start for an Aliens Xcomalike!
Sure AF ain’t $50 good.
Windows is super jank on deck. Steamos is far more stable and in many games the proton layer makes games smoother than in windows because the Vulcan to dx 12 stuff forces precaching of shaders.
For a while people were installing holoiso (steamos for other computers) to make elden ring less studdery.
Yes, I have tries this personally too. Steamos is much MUCH better for handheld gaming than windows is.
Agreeing with you, but if you want to try android with a controller try a gamevice flex. Works with cases, has actual pd charging passthru and no bluetooth delay.
I evaluated 10+ controllers and nobody online even talks about the flex but I have found it to be the absolute best one.
