Yeah i was wondering if anyone commented on that. Its that open source gene material.

I dont think the curve would look like this without valves efforts to push linux, so i am a bit forgiving when it comes to them wanting money to do random research and development. So far they have always been making cool stuff with that money.
Did you buy the L13 on an ebay auction or how did you get it that cheap? 300€ seems pretty hard to hit with those requirements.
Until it doesnt and your entire game library is done…
Ah yeah my bad its the number of sales where indie games win. In terms of money its almost 50/50 tho. People are sick and tired of expensive garbage games and that shows in the drastic changes in revenue from 2023-2024.
Ofcourse if you include in game costs, then it probably changes again.
Not me, but i do want steam to stay the main game platform, if the alternative is epic games. That means you want to keep big studios on the platform.
On the other hand the vast majority of the money that valve makes comes from indie games, not big studios.
Steam really needs something like this. Even the first 100k would be a great start for boosting indie devs.
Instead they do the opposite and reward the big players.
Steam actually reduces their cut as you hit certain milestones. For your first $10M in sales, they take that standard 30%. Hit the $10M mark, and their cut drops to 25% for sales between $10M and $50M. Push past $50M, and Steam only takes 20%.
Unironically yes sadly :(
There is always that one comment saying “b-but its technically kinda federated”. It doesnt fucking matter if its federated if 99.999% of all users are on one instance. The entire concept of a long lived, enshittification resistant fediverse relies entirely on being decentralized with a reasonably evenly distributed userbase. You fucking bet lemmy would already be completely worthless right now if people hadnt stopped lemmy.world from grabbing more communities and users.
You could always do both and fall back on external power when the battery dies. Thats how laptops often do it.
It would explain the constant barrage of system breaking bugs and RCE vulns
Yeah i know, but thats not what the title says
Light years is not a unit of velocity, so the “at” in the title is odd.
You’re right, it has been released, but matrix.org and most other servers either havent activated QR login or arent using MAS. It will be sick tho, the demos make it look very fast and smooth.
While matrix/element is still very much in development, it is improving constantly. A year ago i sometimes had issues with desynced encryption keys and now that never happens anymore. There is now a modern group call and screensharing system and the new ElementX mobile app which is much faster than the old app. Now there is also OIDC and in a few weeks QR code login will be released, so no more manually entering login and encryption key verification stuff.
Yeah, whenever two models interact or build on top of each other, the result becomes more and more distorted. They have already scraped close to 100% of the crawlable internet, so they dont know what to do now. Seems like they cant optimize much more or are simply too dumb to do it properly.
Matrix and Email :D
Matrix certainly counts as “federated” which is whats in the title, but its not using activitypub so its not “fediverse”. Email is also federated and i assume you have that too lol
The power dynamic is still 1000000:1 they can do whatever they want and you will have to follow. If they defederate you, there is no value in your self hosted instance.
Fairphones support it :) I actually tested this out earlier (the initial screen mirroring implementation that was added in android 15) and it worked well. USB hub functionality works too with mouse and keyboard being plugged into the screen.
