No one can take a risk and everything has to be as similar to the things that made money before, as possible. Everything has to be aimed at as wide an audience as possible, inevitably pleasing no one.

You can play something like dota with people on a very basic computer and okayish connection. You’ll always find matches too.

Much like in real life, see them off with large groups of light cavalry. Meet them on their own terms with something that can chase them down and mob them.

For me, it kept a lot of the worst of the idiots away from places like reddit.

I agree that maybe you can’t but that doesn’t make it true or not. The last Conservative government of great Britain showed themselves to be utterly corrupted by greed and capitalism. They didn’t even have to pretend not to rip the entire country off during the covid pandemic.

Even then, its not “more” or less than the US. My point is just that capitalism corrupts all governments, to one extent or another, because its incompatible with democracy.

Of course, no one can. Unfortunately, that’s because capitalism is incompatible with actual democracy. Theres isn’t a country in the world whos democratic process and systems of governance hasn’t been utterly corrupted by capitalism and all that it brings with it.

I think you’re right. Sadly, none of them have any idea how ultra manipulated the price of things like gold and silver are.

I mean, it has appreciated in value since then but if you caught it wrong, with a load of futures, expecting it to “shoot to the moon”, you’ll lose everything which was the plan. It was literally firms and funds trying to cover the losses they made on gamestop.

For me, it became undeniable after the gamestop fiasco. I used to sub to wallstreetbets way back before all that. It was one of the last genuinely funny places on the internet. I’m lucky, i got in on those shares at £45 and sold at roughly somewhere round about £420.69.

After the day the price shot up to that, the place was just flooded with bots trying to get anyone to spend their money in any place but gamestop. You even had some mugs trying to short silver which, for anyone not in the know, you’d need about all the money in the world to do that.

But yeah, now, everything going on there is going to be ultra analysed by every fund in the world. Oh, they also fired all the admins and replaced them just before the flood gates opened.

I think its then that people saw the potential for flooding reddit with bots and shills.

Yeah but, if it was remotely enjoyable, then you might make 2 or maybe even 3% less profit for the lazy, workshy scroungers who own the company.

I get the feeling, I really do. However, I can’t think of many things that would radicalise someone more than losing all their money or being buried under a pile of debt. Being these sorts of types, they’ll only go one way. On reflection, I’m sure you recognise the very specific and historically recognisable tinder box.
