Can’t wait to see their answer!
Is it different from breeding and killing an animal to eat it?
You’re really misusing that quote.
I totally agree that it’s a ridiculous thing for them to implement, but saying that consent is required to say ‘hi’ is a bit over the top. I’m assuming the receiving party will still be able to block the sender of course since I’m pretty sure that’s required by Google and Apple.
But if everyone has a shitty experience with it, they won’t recommend it or even tell people to stay away from it. But if it works well, they’ll praise it, thus gaining more users.
Sync and Infinity are probably my favorites right now. Most of the others haven’t gotten scrolling to be smooth yet. I keep checking out the others whenever there’s an update.
Upper one is the PWA and the lower one is the new standalone app.
I know the feeling…

Just ran into the same problem. I fixed it by going to settings -> accounts and them pressing and holding on each instance that I don’t have an account on and removing it. Then it uses the instance I do have an account on.
Count yourself lucky because as you might imagine the bug makes it unusable. It even happens on regular mobile browsing.

Well, for starters there is no back button in the PWA on Android. Swiping from the right to go back completely refreshes the feed.
The entire feed is indeed resetting as if I refreshed it. I’m also on Android 13.
EDIT: Just browsing using chrome or firefox has the same result…
On Android it starts from the top again for me, completely reloads it actually…
How do you deal with losing your scrolling position every time you go back from viewing a comments page?
Oof, same on Android. That’s a complete deal breaker for using the PWA.
I’m a Relay man myself, but Sync was a close second. Can’t wait for the Lemmy version of it.
I love my single TRÅDFRI Zigbee lightbulb.
