Linux is mailing lists, if anything. It’s definitely not Reddit.

I am so intrigued by Silverblue but given how stable Fedora is I’m not really sure I’d gain anything
Red Hat, way back in the 90s - must have been 5.0 IIRC.
Since then I went through Ubuntu and now landed on Fedora.
Never protested or did anything organised. Went from “yeah, a Tesla would be amazing to own” to “ugh, no thanks, don’t want to be seen driving that”.
Musk has only himself to blame.
micro ftw
real MVP right here.
They don’t need to edit the article, just submit a decent photo to wikimedia. The editing can be done by others as soon as the portrait has been uploaded.
Darwin almighty if a celeb wants their photo changed on Wikipedia all they have to do is submit a decent photo they’ve taken themselves.
Ah right. But none of them are true forks, really. They still rely on the Firefox project to port features in etc.
100%. Firefox would be better off, I suspect, by focusing on the browser, solely, and with a distributed global team that didn’t need a fancy SF office and fancy SF comp packages.
Servo isn’t a functional browser. You’re not comparing apples to apples.
Which ones do you mean?
Yo ho, to the seas we go!!
I live outside of a big city in the UK. Many times I can ONLY get 2G.
It obviously depends on where they live and/or committed the crimes. But most countries have broad laws against anything, real or fake, that depicts CSAM.
It both because as technology gets better it would be easy for offenders to claims anything they’ve been caught with is AI created.
It’s also because there’s a belief that AI generated CSAM encourages real child abuse.
I shan’t say whether it does - I tend to believe so but haven’t seen data to prove me right or wrong.
Also, at the end, I think it’s simply an ethical position.
Why a new engine, Firefox is open source?!
Fork Firefox.
But good luck funding a team to keep up with commercial companies’ pace. It needs funding.
If Mozilla made a way to donate in a way that I KNEW it would go towards the maintenance of the browser, and not another crappy thing they’re trying to be profitable, I’d donate in a second. I spend about £30/month on OSS donations and I’d happily add £5/month to Mozilla if I trusted them not to misspend it.
lol. Are you for real? You think the Firefox development team can be funded by 20% of the CEO’s salary?!
They are losing money and their business model is not breaking even. I want getting to make a governance point (though I agree with yours), merely saying they are desperate.
I have a feeling this thread won’t be about Linux.
