with proton, pirating shit from windoes on linux is the best!
yes
with proton, pirating shit from windoes on linux is the best!
actually, years ago there was a long drawn out drama about people in Signal’s team refusing to publish on F-Droid because of “security concerns” in Moxie’s time. IIRC they worked to take down builds on the main repo
you can probably still find the old github threads with the lenghty discussions
I’ve just seen it. I suppose Signal-FOSS has the same signature, since I can choose between the two repos on its F-Droid panel
since when? that’s good news to me!
the alternatives seem to be Molly on the main repo and Signal-FOSS on TwinHelix’s
talk about a n irrelevant comment! you’re informing us you’ve blocked someone, hahaha
thanks for the pic, it’s good to share with friends who are curious!
this. thank you
this, twenty times
the most relevant comment
omg, thank you. i just learnt about the “tags” function that I’ve always assumed worked differently without even trying it
Feeder is a perfectly functional RSS reader for Android, and the only updated and straight forward one on F-Droid when I decided to set up my feeds, and an app I’ve seen suggested on Lemmy several times when there’s mention of RSS…but why doesn’t it have groups? I’ve got my general news mixed with tech news, cluttered in between the rest of it - it does have grouping and it’s called “tags”
this thread made me re-check and there are some new options in there and at least one will let you group the feeds: Read You
EDIT: dumb take
isn’t Izzy’s full of closed source stuff?
this is the way
i’ve worked at a call center years ago on the retentions dep. of some mobile internet provider. after learning of such trickery, i’ll fucking tell everyone that will listen “hey mate, you’ve got a internet/telephone/cable tv subscription? are you in the “fidelity” period? (yeah that shit is a thing here…) ok so listen, AS SOON AS a second passes from the end of the period, this is how you get the actual decent price for service…”
some people had to stop me on my track several times because i was repeating myself to them (forgot who i’d already told about it) because i must make sure everyone knows
been doing it all these years
i really don’t think so. i hope it will be so in the future
i only check myself out whenever i shoplift
i forgot about that criteria, being FOSS. i’ve used AnyDesk before, but avoid doing so now.
i’ve also used Remmina, but some of the people i support use Windows Home edition, which doesn’t include an RDP server. i don’t kbno if i could use it with VNC
i’ve been using it to support friends and works very well, the weird part is that i have access to those computers at anytime if they’re on, without settings available to require the user’s permission! it seems quite invasive. because of this i have instructed them to block/remove it until it’s needed again
before this, what would people use to access Windows desktops from Linux? i know about VNC but didn’t find a client for both
he’s pirating his stuff, he’s already a cool guy in my book
