Tbf anti-cheat at kernel level should be avoided at all cost anyhow. Its a major security risk. Break it and your entire system is compromised.that’s the type of anti-cheat that doesn’t work under linux.
Now all governments around the globe and other public services and we.are getting somewhere.
Its great to see how AMD went from laughable drivers, like 10 years ago to where we are now.that you don’t need to to anything to have a great performance experience under linux, hassle free. Valve has been a major influencer in this too.
As a AMD fanboy, I will say we NEED Intel in this game for.the x86 stuff. You don’t want to end with an Intel 2008-2016 scenario for AMD. Or what you see now with nvidia. We need competition. Look at the absurd prices for 50 series nvidia gpu’s
Free speech absolution guy who promotrd Signal not that long ago, only likes free speech (and most likely only signal) for me but not for thee
You pay them a one time fee. The data you share with them is what makes google money. So from that perspective it’s like direct buy over a loan. They can’t leech you dry when you are not on loans.
Ran it for 1.5 years and it stepped away from it. Besides the fact that as soon as your host goes down or you do maintenance on your host, the network becomes kind of useless (ESP if you have multiple segmentated nets). The other thing to keep in mind is to pass through physical nics. Using just the vnics will potentially lead to security risks. That’s the reason I went back to physical fws.
Last year he told everybody to go fuck themselves. Now he’s crying. If there is somebody who needs to be deported, is it his narcistic, selfish, apartheid’s ass.
The problem of platforms when they become big. Just like cyber criminals lurk on systems used by the mass to exploit. Things can be used for good and for bad. And its often the small portion of bad that ruins it for large majority. Just like the few football hooligans that screw things up for the rest.
Bad intend or behavior is just hard to manage in a free online world. If Elon is hated then Adrian will take over…
Boomers saying and thinking boomer things.
We should treasure it and protect it at all cost. This is is also for historical purpose.
Sounds like Russia is a little on cash…
This is example 4664336 of a for profit company pulling the rug from underneath an open source project. It’a becomes a genuine risk as every time the mask comes off, you know it’s going to be ugly.
While they are at it take a look at car manufacturers too.
Yepp those are for sure valid points. Seems that it’s not such a “high” prio for our Trump lover.
As much as I hate Elon for all the shit he says and does, but it also shows the sanctioning for stuff like this is not waterproof. These units can be bought by company X in country X and sells it to company Y in country Y who is friendly with Russia. Also depending where they get launched from (for example from occupied Ukraine) it makes it also difficult to tell “friend” from “foe”. Can that be prevented ? Probably, but it’s not as straightforward as armchair generals may make it sound.
Now, could spaceX do something more about this ? Most likely. But that is resources you need to put on this, which is not profitable. So long story short. It’s more than Elon bad here.
Kind of odd that some of these x650e boards are so extremely expensive (like MSI’s MEG godlike and Asus ROG Cross hair) that you are better off with a threadripper workstation board and CPU.
As one of the closed beta testers, the team has been polishing tremendously. Looking forward to the release
It would be poetic if the cyber attacks would be coming from Ukrainian hackers.
