Oh I remember the original Sniper Ghost Warrior!! Fun game but I found it felt a little cack-handed, in my experience - altho it is plenty old now. What do the Contracts games feel like? I assume they’re much more modern?

I’m surprised to not see the Sniper Elite games recommended here, if we’re talking single player. They’re definitely a bit formulaic by now, and story/dialogue is not worth paying attention to, but they’re slow, methodical, and a lot of fun!

There’s a bit of a Hitman vibe to the later ones, approaching objectives almost however you’d like, and they can absolutely get hectic if you find yourself in a compromising position.

You can run, the sprint is on the clicked movement stick (on controller) like CoD. Not super fast but definitely faster than walking!

My boss does this constantly and it has never once helped. Infuriating.

I’ve worked with developers like this in the past. They’ll see an error come up, read it, and then sort of just start clicking on random stuff and refreshing the page. Eventually, you roll over and say “Hey man, how’s dev going?” And they may or may not say “hmm, got this error…”, at which point you enter into the most frustrating partner programming session of your life, because they won’t stop scrolling and clicking when you’re trying to read the god damn error message on their screen

I haven’t really kept up with new releases for a few years as the mainstream of the industry started to feel more and more like a scam, but I wonder if anybody’s ever done studies comparing the percentage of people with short term memory issues, and the percentage of people who play video games – because video game consumers seem to forget getting screwed over and constantly get surprised when they reward bad behaviour lol
