Curious what you’d think of a sort of roped off, “free to enter” entry community/instance that would be akin to a shallow pool. Just enough so you understand how it works and see what it would be like, but everything else would have that pay-for barrier. You’re right that there’s a good benefit to putting a wall up but at the same time we’re still small enough that actively discouraging people from joining might not* be wise. I absolutely have turned my nose up to websites and servers that have some kind of pretty splash page and then a “Okay pay to get in!” message. I don’t even know what I’m paying for.

I got the Vampire Survivors DLC. I try not to buy Steam stuff anymore unless it’s either a deep discount on something I kind of am interested in, or it’s something I badly wanted.

That’s been sitting on my wishlist a while. It caught my attention when I saw RTGames playing with his friends; but I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger because I’m worried it’ll be one of those games that’s only fun with friends.

I don’t have premium anymore, but back when I did, I got it to better support the channels I watched since I believe they got more revenue from the views of subscribers than people watching the ads.

I was just thinking of picking FTL up again. Love that game. Wish there was something very like it out there to sink my teeth into.
