I try to contribute to things getting better, with sourced information, OC and polite rational skepticism.
Disagreeing with a point ≠ supporting the opposite side, I support rationality.
Let’s discuss to make things better sustainably.
Always happy to question our beliefs.

And that’s how you get your own recording of a classical piece from centuries ago get taken down because it sounds like another copyrighted video. No fucking shit, we’re playing from the same sheet music.
Second had nice ideas too but very different, not a coorpg anymore and more an actually MMO. PvP was very disappointing, they didn’t keep anything from the 1, probably because it was too elitist. For me the massification made me feel like I was insignificant, I didn’t like it much, I did a bit of the campaign and that’s it.
I think it’s a much much smaller player base. It was successful, but WoW was a mind blowing success.
Such a great online game with original ideas and one of the most diversed and interesting PvP of its genre.
They grew a brain organoid from his donated blood white cells that they turned into stem cells. The brain organoid produces electric impulses because that’s what brain cells do. They made something artsy out of those impulses. So it’s completely unrelated to whatever experience the musician could have had. DNA doesn’t store acquired skills nor life memories. They could do that with anyone’s cells and probably get a similar result.
Also a bit buggy in Firefox desktop on Linux.
Damn, I didn’t know Reuters produced this kind of graphical article, it is really cool.
I really wanted to believe your real name is Banana.

Smartphones of this price would be low quality, impossible to self epair, and very likely made with very poor social and environmental conditions. It’s the opposite of what Fairphone does, so the comparison is not possible.
You can buy the OLED display as a spare part for 100 EUR on the official website. https://shop.fairphone.com/shop/category/spare-parts-4?category=4&filters=31

This kind of indirect bullying is kind of unavoidable online, because of the lack of direct contact, you don’t empathize much with the other sensitive being. Until we get that perfect education to civility that may happen in 2000 years if we still exist. Maybe one solution is to have strong rules and moderation about personal attacks. But then it’s the moderators that will get bullied for censorship and end up crucified on the power tripping bastard community.
I read a lot of tech bros saying what they did is easy because they used (illegally?) the chatgpt API for part of their model training. But it seems this kind of performance actually means better engineering, doesn’t it?
I’m glad a different country is able to challenge top USA tech, but I wish EU could do it together too. For now it seems we’re mostly able to duplicate American products with added GDPR compliance.
Some future Musk backed AI eugenic human embryo generator.
Visible post and comment scores are still going to produce some of this behavior. You may not have a total karma but people will still get dopamine from seeing their posts getting upvotes and be reinforced in doing the same again. So the same mechanisms of social pressure and uniformisation are at play. The worst being when people delete their minority opinion comments because of the downvote pressure.
Lemmy could pop their bubble of peace with politics and confrontation.
For PDF “your browser” should be the default recommendation. Firefox allows to add text and images now. Gimp can also be used to edit PDF.
