Vague, overly broad laws are indeed a problem; I’m willing to give him that. ONLY that.

Unfortunately for Musk, this is not vague. If the footage is something you created or manipulated, you know perfectly damn well whether it’s legal or not. He’s trying to confuse the issue, and conflate fraud with free speech. Hopefully, the court will see right through him.

Elump will accomplish this not by improving technology or software, but by outlawing any safety regulations that prove inconvenient.

I’ve always wondered - what is the difference between a gacha game and ANY game with microtransactions? What is it that puts gacha games in a class by themselves?

Frankly, if a child somehow makes it into my home, and is left unsupervised long enough to work out which of the 7 remote controls turns on the TV and surround sound system, and figures out how to access Netflix - I’d say they’re mature enough to watch whatever they want.

Basically, yeah. If the rest of their arguments are this weak, OpenAI is fucked, and deservedly so.

I used to use reddit constantly, and did so for years. That level of hostility took over so gradually that I didn’t even consciously notice. I used Lemmy for a few weeks before it really sunk in that nobody had jumped down my throat over a minor, irrelevant issue (like a careless punctuation or grammatical error).

People here tend to give each other the benefit of the doubt, which had become virtually unheard of on reddit. Even when people make replies I don’t agree with, they’re usually discussing the point rather than the way that point is presented.

If they’re “unarchivable”, how are they online in the first place? At some point, the data sets were broken down so they could be read and searched via computer. Why can’t that information be backed up?

All I can do is extend my sympathies, and tell you that you’re better off in the long run. Most people here don’t like corporate social media because of situations like yours.

Cheap wire brushes should be available in most hardware stores. I know that ours carries them in the paint section.

Remove the nozzle and hold it with pliers or something.
