Thanks, I’m a ding dong anyway.
Lmao, spot on! Thanks!
I run a Pixelfed instance. The code is faaaaaaaarrrrr from polished. Its buggy and the admin interface either doesn’t work or is poorly implemented. I’d rather run and moderate Lemmy than Pixelfed. I have considered just shutting it down several times. I run the instance https://social.photo/.
I doubt many are from other fediverse platforms. Pixelfed has been well known for a while. There are a lot of sharp edges running a Pixelfed server. He’s stretched himself thin with all these projects. They need more love for sure.
This is to be expected. The same thing happened with Lemmy, several times. I had a bunch of signups on social.photo; however, the new people that signed up aren’t very active. I think a lot of people were just trying it out and weren’t impressed.
Yeah, I know. I’m not great at shooters, so I thought I could join and skill up with everyone else. I joined as soon as it was released. I was wrong; everyone was way better than me. I figured I’d try again later, but now I’m not so tempted. I might try it randomly one day when I get some extra time.
I only played it for a little early on and had meant to pick it back up. That sucks!
Whats going on with battlebit?
I feel sad that more people don’t get to see this comment.
/r/nerf created their communities on my instance for a migration but their base wasn’t a fan so they only use [email protected] as a backup.
Mods try but people are not open to change.
Nothing spectacular on discuss.online.
I’m the admin of social.photo. Thanks for joining! Lemme know if you have any questions or issues!
I see signups but no activity. I’m not really sure it’s growing but people are trying it.
Neat! Bought it!
Yeah, we also call them communities
Lemmy.World isn’t developing it. Some of their team members are contributing but they didn’t start it. I did. I’m the admin of discuss.online
It’s a reputable web development language and Spring Framework is very robust. I knew it would make development very quick and easy. Also, everyone learns Java just a little so I feel like it’s easy for the average person to contribute. Rust is certainly fun but Java is tried and true. The organization of the Lemmy project’s code vs Sublinks is night and day. It’s so easy to extend and grow Sublinks.
Great summary!
I know, I read it wrong :(
