1·2 years agoNot if modern proof of ownership technologies are implemented, such as NFT smart contracts.
That’s why NFT’s were created, but now that people link NFT’s to dumb ass pictures, I wonder how if ever it’ll make it as proof of ownership.
1·2 years agoSucks that vendors can keep such a tight control on what you can do with your device. Would be nice to have the possibility to safeguard your device with any OS of your choice.
Even when using another OS? Been trying to find info on relocking my /e/ OS install on my 1+7P and haven’t had any love luck.
Many can be easily unlocked

I guess you’re right, it’s just frustrating this world.
Current world politicians are so tech illitirare it’s bewildering. Supposedly they have experts and think tanks at their disposal to help them in these sorts of endeavours, for what? It’s insane how much survailance has been ranked up in the past decade.

1·2 years agoI guess I confused the 8bitdo Pro and Ultimate, yeah never meant to imply other controllers from 8bitdo had them.
I was pretty sure the 8bitdo ultimate was supposed to have HE sticks and triggers, not sure if the different models use different sticks but would seem unlikely, but another user mentioned they were indeed different.
King Kong 2 both pro and non-pro have HE sticks and triggers, I’ve got a KK2P and that’s the reason I wanted one. 8bitdo don’t seem to mention it on their website but I remember the release press articles mentioning some recent model coming out with HE sticks, but nothing is mentioned in the product pages.
Fair dues, didn’t pay attention to that distinction. Mb
As I recall they both have hall effect joystick, not sure about the triggers but I know that the KKP2’s triggers are hall effect.
I’m sorry, why can’t people put in a bit of effort before asking a question, first search and if you don’t find the answer ask, but you’re already on the web so it litteraly doesn’t take that long to search.
