Too lazy to check, but is this the Rivest from the RSA algorithm?
is beehaw related to lemmy?

A flair-like implementation would be nice for certain communities. From past experience on reddit, I can see how it could be beneficial to filter a community’s posts through tags, say, to check latest announcements or new support questions. I’d personally prefer community-specific tags as opposed to global post tags (which is what I inferred from this post’s content, I haven’t read the RFC yet though) edit: the RFC talks about both instance-based tags and community-based tags, which is even better
I recently purchased a copy of Ardour, and I have noticed that, but I have found most basic plugins can be found for free.
That’s true. In fact, Arch linux even has a handy package (pro-audio) that installs every plugin you’ll need at once. Still, some people might prefer to have plugins built-in or it might be too much hassle for them to look for every plugin from outside (it certainly was for me when I was starting out)
Oh dang it. Hopefully they’ll improve the performance in poor connectivity, since it’s basically unusable for me without it :/
The SIP part looks nice, I hadn’t checked it out yet. Thanks!
That was my main intent for Jami as well; I like the idea and want to support it, but it will serve no purpose for me (at least currebtly). Never heard of Jitsi before, so thanks for that too :)
I’m not sure about LMMS as I never got to try it, but I’ve had it strongly recommended a few times so I figured it would work here too. The only issue I have with Ardour is that all plugins need to be installed separately (assuming OP hasn’t installed them already). I also came across Stargate recently, and it seemed just fine after looking around. I can’t say if it would be enough for OP, but nothing wrong with more options :)
If Audacity is not enough for you, you might want to try DAWs instead. Maybe try LMMS or Ardour (plugins need to be installed separately) for those should provide all the features you may be looking for
They gotta sell it somehow. “Meta’s own Twitter” only worked for so long, so maybe this is part of a rebranding effort (or maybe a simple typo, who knows)
The post right above this one in my feed just happened to be one, so here you go
Just to add to the topic, the ‘condom code’ point you bring up is actually well-established in the business - the so-called ‘Embrace, Extend, Extinguish’ technique.
Yup it seems crazy to me how deep insights one needs to have to be able to, say, connect the dots between compression and machine learning. And now it looks to me like he has done a lot of the foundational work in these fields. Super cool stuff
