Any news on if Samsungs “2nm” will actually be good? I haven’t paid attention to them since the 8nm and Nvidia 30 series of GPUs and those were rough compared to AMD on TSMCs 7nm. Maybe Samsungs 2nm will be on par with TSMCs 3?

SSD speed only affects boot time. Which on any reasonable SSD isn’t bad.

Linux distros can use a good bit less ram than windows, but the gap isn’t that big. Unless you’re borderline on windows Linux won’t make much of a difference. Especially the more noob friendly distros since they tend to be more bloated.

And they only talk about games built for windows through proton/whatever because native games suck balls. Proton emulating windows made Linux gaming good. Native Linux gaming is still typically worse than native windows.

For an individual yes. But for an institution? No.

GPU makes sense since it’s a self contained expansion card. But all your CPU and case fans connect into the mobo and they’ve started having (good) built in fan controllers for a good while now and thank god for it.

And the process of dealing with it sucks ass. You’re probably more likely to buy at least one second set of joycons while you wait forever for them to replace your originals.

Can you change them in your bios? Most have pretty reasonable fan control curves built in.

Just make sure you enable hysteresis so they don’t bounce up and down constantly.
