River of Sorrow in Metal Gear Solid 3. First regular then as “no kills” run. It’s something that made me genuinely question everything while playing a video game. Everything.

Thank you. Thank you very much. It’s Gordon. Gordon Cole! And my shocks are on fire.
I’d play underworld. I think I’ve played most the TR games but I skipped that.

Wow. This is turning into one of those mythic games that was so so good but will never get a follow-up.
Pay attention. The game wouldn’t always lead you to what you need to do. Some times you’ll have to figure things out. There isn’t just a marker on the map for what you need to do next. That messed me up because half the time I was following a marker but then there would be a line about giving someone an item or something in my inventory I missed. Ignore 100%ing every quest. Learn to parry and roll. Also, explore! I’ve run into very cool side quests! It feels really cool to just stumble into a story before a character even sends you out on the quest.
I was shocked when it was announced. A game made 9 years ago that no one was really asking for a remake of for full retail of $60? I think a lot of people see it for what it is a cash grab during Halloween season made by a 3rd party company.
Interesting read. Seems like their video game division was fucked over by the film division (covid) and no amount of leadership was going to correct that. To bad. they were really just getting some brand recognition as the cool artistic indie game company.
I’ve played all the Batman games. Not Gotham knights and I have never even heard of the suicide squad game. But I instantly ignore all online multiplayer games so I guess that could be the reason.
Usually ramp up the horror/spooky games about this time every year. Hades 2, Ghostwire Tokyo, Alan wake “American nightmare” dlc which is terrible so far. Resident Evil 2 remake.
Alien Isolation. This game really nails the original alien aesthetics. Not a perfect game but I’m happy it’s a love letter to the original movie.
Good luck. Snake.
Yah. Pearl Jam spent years in limbo because they thought everyone would join the fight. But no big name artists ever did because no one wanted to rock the boat. During COVID ticketmaster / clear channel/liveNation/ iHeartRadio whatever have continued to consolidate. They own the tickets they own the resell websites they own most of the big venues they can demand merch sales at the venue. If you refuse they can remove you from playing their venues.
At this point it would take 10+ huge artists to final kill this beast. We are talking Taylor Swift / Beyonce big that actually have complete creative control. I don’t even think most top artists have that. They would have to organize everything and they would probably lose union contracts for stage craft and audio, lights, transportation. Basically they would have to start their own ticket & touring companys that outdoor fields and sports areas? and would have to stick it out for years and convince a good majority to stop buying tickets from any place using Ticketmaster.
This is one of the saddest stories in gaming. Author was depressed and friends help him create a game. Game is considered one of the greatest games ever created only the publisher screws original team out of the rights to the game mimicking the exact type of short sighted bullshit that creatives have to deal within the Disco Elysium world.
Unfortunately until gaming companies see their base users move to Linux I doubt any changes will happen. But this could be a very good step in that direction if YouTubers start promoting Linux is the way to go for games and web browsers. Some people don’t use anything else.
Very happy that they dedicated the time but man there still some weird pop in stuff, audio problems, clipping through walls, rough animations. I played yesterday and Claire was just standing in the middle of a car talking in a cut scene. I respect they went real big, but still rough around the edges coming off of Witcher 3.
What about rclone? I’ve found it to be amazing for cloning or copying.
Supergiant has my respect because they respect players avoiding all bs modern games try and nickel and dime players. I would encourage people to buy it if you will buy day one when it’s released. They confirmed progress will carry over but also a lot of these indie development teams rely on presales things like this to keep the project revenue all good.
Wow. A game/company that doesn’t require additional launchers, or have dlc, add-ons, costumes, exclusives, special editions, always online and just works? Huh it’s almost as if very talented and hardworking people, artists, devs just made and game at their pace and sold it to people who like just playing video games. And confirmed pre release progress will carry over. Love supergiant. Day one purchase every time if they just keep making games this way.
Rollerdrome was very solid concept but the difficulty curve was pretty intense. One second you feel like you have the hang of it the next you can’t get to the next arena.
I’m OK with buying now based on the fact they reversed this. They did what I wanted and the reason I waited to buy so I’ll hold up my end. They should be happy people are even buying the games. If they ever change this policy they are other options. I’d love to see what the sales numbers are from before and after the requirement. I’m guessing it wasn’t just the articles but actual decline in sales.
