It’s not just transactions. $600 is the lower limit on taxable income. I used to do food delivery and if you make under $600 for the year it’s not reported and not taxable. You’re supposed to report any income over $600.
Haha that’s great. Thank you. No it’s just a hobby. I do have a background in graphic design and a huge interest in technology and computers and I guess I’ve just married the two into a hobby.
Am I just not far enough in the game yet or did I miss something? Who is Us?
I will say it definitely has brought up my interest again. My ex used to play and I’ve watched some people play before, but I just feel like I’d have a hard time. I think it’s just my insecurity of needing to be good at things and I feel like I’d be bad at playing. Feels like the pressure would get to me to think of good ideas and such.
I’m not into DnD nor fantasy generally, but I am absolutely loving it. 40 hours in so far and I can’t get enough. I have the itch where I’m just thinking about spells all day when I’m not playing
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Air Conditioning or Assasins Creed.
Lmao.
Ok seems simple enough. I’m familiar with class based RPGs. I’ll probably check out some getting started videos before diving in. Thanks a lot!
I’ve never played any BG nor DnD. I do know vaguely some basics about DnD. I got the game to play with a friend. How difficult is it going to be for me to get used to? Should I read up on anything beforehand? I play mostly single player RPGs like fallout, mass effect, and occasional turned based stuff like FF, isometric stuff.
L15 also, wtf is going on there
I agree there’s no flaw in the approach but like anything most people won’t learn. People can’t be bothered by and large.
Adblocker do great job at filtering out the majority of ads.
Oh believe me, I’ve been running UBlock Origin for a long time. When I use a computer without it, I’m just amazed at the amount of ads nowadays
I’d argue that there are better contenders, but this is a discussion for entirely different community. 😜
Oh of course, little bit of hyperbole in my statement, but I definitely believe the internet has been a gift and a curse for society.
Yeah, I was born in the early 80s and grew up watching the internet grow, so I know how to navigate for the best experience for me. But I don’t think it can be denied that the vast majority of people don’t and fall right into the toxicity most of the time. And the effect it’s had on sociaty is hard to ignore.
I think this is true to an extent. The internet is still filled with magical things, but no one can deny that a huge portion is just ad-filled garbage at this point. Most everything “mainstream” is designed to manipulate us and suck us dry. I still say the internet is both the greatest and worst invention of all time.
I really think despite that we don’t have overall karma, people still get off on getting highly rated posts. I mostly lurked on Reddit, but would occasionally post something and I can’t deny that I enjoyed seeing the post get a lot of upvotes. But here on Lemmy, I became a mod of a couple communities and I post a lot and I’ve noticed I don’t even pay attention to the scores at all. I think one reason is since I post a lot more, I don’t pay attention, and also the scores don’t generally get as high, due to the smaller userbase. But I agree, people need to get out of that mentality of trying to get the highest rated post scores. It really makes it much more enjoyable to get involved in discussions, IMO.
The recent God of War games come to mind immediately. They’re both made to look like a single continuous shot throughout the game and it’s obvious the developers put a lot of thought into the cinematography.
God the timing is awful with this and the writer strike going on. I really hope they come to an agreement, first and foremost so the writers get paid properly and the other things they’ve asked for but I can’t lie and say I don’t want a new episode of Last Week Tonight covering all the reddit drama. I just really hope the strike doesn’t last so long that it’s not news enough to put on the show.
The struggle is real, my friend.
Yes, I mean, some people don’t have the time or skill to play on harder difficulties and they just play on the easiest mode to experience the story. Did you truly beat the game if you do that? I’m all about play however you want. I sometimes replay games on easy just because I want to relive the story.
For sure. I find sandbox games to be the ones I feel like 100%ing, but most story based ones, I just want to experience the story.
undefined> Don’t really have a conclusion to this, just think it’s interesting.
Definitely, I just find it interesting that we still use that term, even if it doesn’t necessarily apply.
Sounds like you probably use it but if not, get the SponsorBlock extension to do exactly this.
