Putting the psyco in psycopg
I remember when reddit used to invite actual interesting celebrities to do AMA’s. Things never were quite the same after they fired Victoria.
Hardworking scammers
Saving this to share in my Python Basics class tomorrow
The shareholders don’t want actual controversial topics, only clickb ait controversial topics.
This might sound crazy, but fuck tiktok. We could just drop a virtual nuke on tiktok and be none the worse for it.
That’ll lose them some users, but they’ll truly seppuku themselves when they inevitably drop the porn.
Control the media, control the people
Why is this legal? Isn’t there an authority that watches over fair competition in the USA?
Sounds like a fun challenge. Anyone got the link for this listing?
This guy’s articles are always so long. Too optimistic and too pessimistic are both bad. You should be realistic. AI is great, but it is just a tool. A socially and ethically loaded tool.
Very funny, but I would kill myself and everyone around me within a minute of running this programme
I need to know more. What are the bad parts that are disabled? Which best parties are enabled at the language level?
I work for a school who specialises in IT. Every introduction and every graduation we have the running gag that we offer free pizza for all attending students (some other events we do this as well).
Holdup! You’ve got actual, employed, working, graduated juniors who are handing in code that they don’t even understand?
Tell me about it. I teach a python class. Super basic, super easy. Students are sometimes idiots, but if they follow the steps, most of them should be fine. Sometimes I get one who thinks they can just do everything with chatgpt. They’ll be working on their final assignment and they’ll ask me what a for loop is for. Than I look at their code and it looks like Sanscrit. They probably haven’t written a single line of code in those weeks.
The admins also liked those days better than current times, I’m sure. It’s just a money issue. Reddit wasn’t profitable back than (still isn’t, I think), so it needed an investor. An investor watch it’s money back eventually, so you’re gonna have to make changes. Often times those changes suck
What’s the latest news?
I like how this forum thread has actual thoughtful and objective commentary that all point to how bad this feature is.
