Buy a laser printer. They’ve come down in price a ton and are so so so so so so so so so so much better than fucking ink jet printers. I’ll never go back, and regret the years of anger and stress they caused me.
Brother printers are the best as well.
I got a Brother HL-3140CW and couldn’t be happier. Also just works with Linux.
One that I didn’t see on here that I’ve added to my list
If on desktop
Well I’m installing this as soon as I get home.
Just ordered an aero press today. Work coffee has gotten progressively worse, and the carafes are never cleaned. Looking forward to being able to drink coffee at work again.
I personally finally made the fulltime switch in November 2021 after years of on again off again attempts. The one I was finally able to stick with was Endeavour OS with KDE desktop. It’s basically just an arch distro with a good installer and som QoL apps. Easy to maintain and a good community if you need assistance.
And with the creation of Bottles running windows software has been surprisingly easy. I do some home studio recording and just got EZdrummer setup as a vst in Ardour, and it just works.
I use Feedly after Google reader died. Pretty much only use it for webcomics.
It has a cuseforge browser/search built in. It’s a one click install.
That said, and this isn’t just a Prism thing, cuseforge just had a major hack and multiple mods and mod packs were infected so that downloading infects your computer, so I would avoid cuseforge for the time being. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/06/dozens-of-popular-minecraft-mods-found-infected-with-fracturiser-malware/
no 60 unfortunately. I run a 60fps mod on it, but then throttle the deck down to 30 so that I can get a continuous stable 30fps. On PC I can get 60fps, but not stable, but I’ve got an older card(1070Ti mini).
great. It was a little rough on release day, but the fact that it ran at all was surprising. Also stuttered for a little while at the start since it was compiling shaders. Now, for me anyway, all the kinks seem to have been worked out and it runs great. Better than some switch gameplay I’ve watched actually.
modded minecraft works just fine(as long as you’re playing the java verson.) Use the Prism launcher
AoE works on the deck, multiplayer requires a little tinkering though. Your best bet is always to check protondb rather than the Steam rating. https://www.protondb.com/search?q=age+of+empires
Endless Legend works. https://www.protondb.com/app/289130
as well as phasmophobia. https://www.protondb.com/app/739630
Games are hit or miss, but a lot of them work really well, and they get better all the time. I’ve been completely happy playing TotK on my deck, with the bonus that I can sync my save between my deck and my PC and then play it on my PC as well, then pick up where I left off on the go.
✋ here. I’ve been playing mostly Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Also Bomb Rush Cyberfunk just came out and it’s an amazing homage to JSR. Highly recommend. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1353230/Bomb_Rush_Cyberfunk/
