Fair enough. I’ve tried using twitch on my Fedora laptop with FF and I get blocked out by their browser message so I assumed that they were restricting access to chromium only.

Isn’t that just because Twitch doesn’t allow you to browse it using Firefox though?
Absolutely! Black Earth gets semi-regular rotation around these parts too.
Mainly black and old school death metal. Also some ambient and contemporary classical.
They weren’t even in the same league though graphically (on PC). Crysis really was that one game which blew everything else out of the water. In many ways it set the precedent for companies to implement ultra quality settings which only worked with the very best GPUs of each generation.
I was hoping for the Swiitch
Hell yeah DQM! I imagine an alternate universe where that game took off instead of pokemon. So much fun and I still play it (and the sequels) regularly.
We’ve been using tsp at my work for years and it works well. It is just a very basic queueing system so if you can run the job from the command line then you can run it via tsp.
Our workflow is to have concurrent jobs run on the remote servers with cron and tsp but you should be able to trigger remote jobs over SSH also if you prefer to have a single machine in charge of task allocation.
The thing for me wasn’t so much the game choice but the placement. It feels like they took a big bag of 100 of the best games and randomly picked them out one at a time. If you start to ask is Y really better than X on this list then it starts to make less and less sense.
Absolutely, there is sooooo much more content now and the balance and QoL is tonnes better too. Still recommend using the wiki late game though.
I completely agree, and in general working with email programmatically sucks. MIME is a mimefield.
I think there is a stark distinction between “really fun” and “one of the best games ever”. This list contains almost nothing which pushed against the barriers of gaming either now or in the past.
Some really weird picks here. A few standout bad takes:
I’ve had more than one person I work with take screenshots of their desktop, paste them into a word document, then attach the word document to an email to get me to help them with their problem. This has the same energy.
If you have an account you can view the support thread here: https://supportportal.crowdstrike.com/s/article/Tech-Alert-Windows-crashes-related-to-Falcon-Sensor-2024-07-19
Workaround Steps:
Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment
Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory
Locate the file matching “C-00000291*.sys”, and delete it.
Boot the host normally.
There is a fix people have found which requires manual booting into safe mode and removal of a file causing the BSODs. No clue if/how they are going to implement a fix remotely when the affected machines can’t even boot.
Yep, stuck at the airport currently. All flights grounded. All major grocery store chains and banks also impacted. Bad day to be a crowdstrike employee!
This one is good but Hungry Cat Nonograms is the best mobile picross game imo. Thousands of puzzles, amazing controls, beautiful art. It has ads which can be removed with a single in-app purchase. Been playing for almost 8 years and they’re still releasing weekly content.
Believe it or not, also the sun!
Don’t watch it because it won an Oscar, watch it because it is a beautiful, sweet movie about animals helping each other.
