Neopets still exists and is going strong! The community is wholesome and so amazing, You can play it on your phone’s internet browser, it’s wonderful nostalgic break from everything else, and they have a TON of free games built in… Solitaire, Pyramids, Bullshit, Battleship, Minesweeper, Brick Breaker, Mahjong, Blackjack, Poker, Keno, etc.
I still play every day and have a BUNCH of goodies for new players, if you do check it out!
My bigger concern is that almost every company now has it in their contracts/terms of services, that all users are not allowed to participate in a lawsuit, be it class action, or court case against them Most of them even have a maximum sue limit too! There’s a lot that have a rule that initial arbitration cannot have a lawyer, but that won’t be enforced.
Finally! Finally they’re trying to take the bullets out of the gun instead of trying to make a stronger bulletproof vest. I feel cautiously optimistic!
I’m a bit jealous that there’s no side effects, though. Depo made me gain 30lbs in ONE month. I’m lucky it made my tits significantly bigger (Went from a B to a DD), but that was not a fun experience.

Thank you for making this more understandable. It really feels like a “the people who pay us more will have a louder voice” and I am grossed out, if that’s the case.
I started my first account in 2012 because my ex husband was into it. I ask don’t understand “why does the narwhal bacon” but I slowly figured out reddit and recommended it to all of my friends. Sad to see it go; but I’m glad… except for a few small communities (Neopets, Microgrowery, AIDKE, shrimptanks, succshaming, etc.) it was turning into a cesspool of ads and manipulated visibility.
I got banned from (later re-added to) r/neopets… a person was seeking help about getting back their old account, and I said they’d know which email was used because the MASSIVE neopets hack is on most people’s identity theft reports and online security data. They don’t want scammers to know about the hack, even enough over 40,000 accounts have been already stolen and a group in Brazil is making over $20K USD a month selling the rare/limited digital items, for real money, to those who don’t want to grind.
I pleaded and they let me back in. They take it very seriously.
