I did the same thing. I liked the first one so much I want to go back and finish BZ just for completion sake. Maybe I’ll start a new game without survival mode and just breeze through hopefully.

Alien nature or not, the fact that BZ limited the ocean experience both depth, length, and breadth-wise and forced way more gameplay above water was a mistake in my eyes which is why it was never truly a sequel.
Below zero was such a disappointment overall. I liked the characters and some of the story but… The vibe was totally off. I liked exploring islands and alien bases in the 1st one but spending the entire latter half in an icy wasteland just had me feeling sour. If I wanted Antarctica I’d play that, I want to be UNDERWATER dammit. Here’s to hoping they learned their lessons and make it closer to subnautica but bigger.
The problem is that artists have been cribbing off the studio Ghibli style forever, a cursory search through deviant art going back to its inception would also reveal that. I do understand the slippery slope of AI, but it’s very fiddly grounds if the art piece is not used for profit.
What a touching read that was. Thanks!
I remember being in the US Army Infantry group and using a forum to plan attacks and defenses and to get rezz’d.
If you look up the practical application of Shadow profiles they have the ability to gather information about non-users, which also includes unborn children in the case of them discovering that the mother is pregnant through whatever web searches that they may be doing even outside of Facebook. The whole science of Shadow profiles used to strengthen the algorithm is incredibly frightening and part of the reason why I left Facebook.
It was that combined with the fact that they create shadow profiles for your unborn child when your wife is pregnant. (Found out through FB being allowed to track your browsing history even off the app). That was the final straw right after the Cambridge Analytica issue.
I ended up getting Metal Gear Rising: Revengence, Sonic Adventure 2, Prey, Daemon X Machina, and Dragon Age 2. I have no regrets in my eclectic sale impulses hahaha
I’m so pissed at Google, we got it like 5 years ago and it was half decent but it feels like they’ve been enshittifying the assistant so that way they can phase it out for gEmInI before they sunset it completely I’m sure. 🤮
The anime style cutscenes go SO HARD, I’m totally down for more games in this new universe, full stop.
Thanks! Free game!
I’ve been using sync for Lemmy since the 3rd partocalypse of 23, and I haven’t been back to reddit since. It’s been enjoyable being on Lemmy, and the folks are usually pretty awesome here. I can second the niche interest thing though, but I’ve always used reddit in a curated general content fashion, so Lemmy is plenty sufficient in that regard.
Been trying to get into final fantasy XIV because of a friend. Kind of fun and I like that I can customize the HUD and the control scheme between the in-game systems and the steam deck controls. I feel like I’ve tried MMOs in the past and didn’t enjoy them, but this one seems all right.
How do you like it compared to the first? Loved fallen order but holding off on Survivor until there’s a good sale.
I’ve been bouncing between Red Dead 2 and Cyberpunk (don’t have the new DLC yet though, was going to clear all the base gigs first). I love the open world whiplash I’m getting between these two amazing character driven stories.
This was the moment I moved to Lemmy. I was hemming and hawing but after Joey I was done. Would love to see a Joey for Lemmy someday.
A common comment I saw across the board was “I wish I could play it again for the first time” and after beating it I totally get it
