The UI isn’t the problem? The attached screenshot shows people talking about federation. Federation is very confusing, but also the core part of how the Fediverse functions. The only thing you could to is to provide an entry portal, where all servers are categorized by the type of content they provide and you can check and uncheck the type of content you want or might want to interact with. Based on your choices, the portal could recommend a random Lemmy or Mbin instance that has a track record of being reliable and allows you to interact with most content of that type. So if you’d want to see porn for example, the portal should choose an instance that is federated with lemmynsfw.
A bug? You mean someone in the office accidentially pressed the big red ‘purge-everything-unholy-for-when-the-evangelicals-come-after-us’ button?
My conspiracy theory: Meta has an AI that scans articles/the internet for threats and then adjusts the filters for Facebook. The AI just read the story that some Games companies are blocking Linux clients, because they see them as unsafe. The AI just copied what it read.
Lemmy.world is the most mainstream instance. You may find small instances that have more political center types, but for all the “issue” is that the fediverse is federated. So lemmy.ml users can comment on your post on lemmy.world as well.
Being conservative is a medical condition that is created through a bad childhood with lacking empathy and no proper education. Republicans want to breed the next generation of their voterbase. Teen pregnancies are just one piece of that puzzle.
Holy cuck, the Zuck is such a fuck.
We should make a bet how long it will take before the ID databases get leaked.
If you are looking for a video format, there is the “Research Road” series on the channel “The Roads with Beau”, which is usually a political channel. It is AI narrated, but the people behind the channel are genuine and well informed.
Don’t say the big R-word or they’ll remove your post. That’d be POLITICS! Even if it is directly related to what you’re talking about.
It certainly looks that way.
Counter argument: The maintainers could “easily” relocate to a country that is not currently conducting an invasion to enlarge its territory.
Removed by mod
I think Lemmy/Mbin would benefit from ‘moderation pools’. The basic idea is that, if you subscribe to or join a moderation pool, your instance will automatically copy any moderation action taken on content your instance also hosts. This would allow multiple single-admin instances to moderate even during off-hours of any single admin.
This article is getting saved, for the next time some idiot proposes ‘lawful backdoors’, which will inevitably happen.
Sorry, but Nexus Mods is entirely too big to play stupid games and risk getting sued.
Then charmeleon must change more than just the user agent
What works? YT on Firefox or YT on Firefox when the user agent is changed?
I use Charmeleon, with the effects described above.
This is exactly the reason why I won’t play gacha games. First everyone complains about loot boxes and microtransactions and then a game-genre where that’s the core of the game takes off.
Just goes to show that the people that (rightly) complain about microtransactions cheapening gaming experiences were always in the minority and most will just keep spending like headless chickens.
Most people I know aren’t or don’t see themselves as gambling addicts. They’re “proud” about how much they spent.
