Looks sick! But … why are the z and the y switched?
Someone still took the time to downvote your opinion that it ‘was fine’. The vitriol towards any positive or neutral comment is why I think it’s a specific group of people actually complaining, a fair share with “it could have been better, and it’s not my style of rpg anymore”, and the remainder just being relatively neutral to happy that they got more dragon age.
But, to drive home in case it isn’t clear, I love Dragon Age and I think this one ranks higher than Inquisition (but not trespasser DLC), on par with 2, and above 1 for me. I do not think it’s a Pinnacle of modern writing, it definitely suffered from some development struggles and that comes through in the final act as things get a little rushed and content feels more like a drip than a faucet. But then it wraps up well, or I thought it did.
It can use improvements, but I feel about it as i felt about 2 when it came out. “This is a change, and I’m not sure it’s what i wanted, but I do like the universe and the combat is a lot of fun and the characters as a whole are interesting”.
I only see that in some communities. Most of the people that hate on veilguard, from what I’ve seen, either haven’t played the game or are clipping parts out of context.
The complaints I’ve seen that aren’t “dur hur, binary qunari” talk about the shaky dialogue in the beginning, where things felt awkward and clunky, like a new team forming. I’ll give credence to the complaints about some depth being lost in the characters versus other games in the series, but I think those people feel that way because Inquisituon was a bloated mess (that I love) and they’ve played 1 and 2 so many times in different ways they’re meshing all the dialogue into one. Playing through veilguard a second time, and watching my partner take different choices than me, made the characters on par with Mass Effect 2 allies. Which, I’d say isn’t an accomplishment so much as a mild chastisement that it hasn’t improved since then.
SHIT TONS of smurf accounts for games like Dota, CSGO, and other stuff that I’d often see with no profile customization. Would make sense if tons of accounts are side accounts
Seconded. Just beat dredge the other day and MAN, what a different kind of gameplay, but I found it really interesting.
Only Denuvo has reported that it’s better for sales, the rest of us don’t have data on that and I’m not trusting the wolf with Hen House design
And that’s what I think they’re failing to measure. I think they’re unable to accurately divorce the increase in sales from other incentives/market forces, and so they’re just doing what they’ve been doing regardless of actual merit, or the merit is being improperly evaluated
I was just talking about this the other day. I think Coke and some companies have reached a saturation point that makes advertisements useless.
I dont know if we have any data to model off of, but I’d love to see if their profits dip by any meaningful amount if they stopped advertising for 3 months straight. Let the movie theaters, and the restaurants, and the culturally embedded soft drink preferences do their thing and see if the dial moves.
Feel free, I think it’ll be a great game when you check back in.
I’m a big Hades 1 fan, and played that game in it’s early state as well. Hades 2’s early access feels roughly 90% or more complete, it’s missing pictures for some items (placeholders for now), some character portraits of some of the lesser-interacted-with NPCs. I think there will be another weapon because there’s a slot for it, and there’s seemingly some more boss content. Gameplay, basically at 100%
So if you’re likely to finish and not check back in, definitely wait because the game should be in pristine condition by then, with it being this polished already. Love this studio, love this game
I beat [BAD GUY IN TARTARUS] and [BAD GUY ON SURFACE] when it was still really hard
I like the changes, those wins felt very cheap and circumstantial. It was super fun, but the changes definitely make it ‘feel’ better. I love this dev team for listening to the community
I was just refuting the bit that it’s not better off the paper. By all the measures above, it’s not “meh” better. The steamdeck could drastically improve by taking some notes in what the Ally does well.
I agree though that Asus isn’t a company I choose to do business with first, they just had the best product for what I was looking for.
Own both
Ease of use - Ally Graphical capabilities - Ally Battery usage - Steam Deck (because less graphical capabilities) Gaming platforms/launcher availability - Ally Customization and layout - Steam Deck, and it ain’t even close.
I love my Ally and my wife loves my Steam Deck. But the Ally is better in all the ways above. I will say the Steam deck is easier to open up for repairs, but not by much
I just started diving into the space from a localized point yesterday. And I can say that there are definitely problems with garbage spewing, but some of these models are getting really really good at really specific things.
A biomedical model I saw seemed lauded for it’s consistency in pulling relevant data from medical notes for the sake of patient care instructions, important risk factors, fall risk level etc.
So although I agree they’re still giving well phrased garbage for big general cases (and GPT4 seems to be much more ‘savvy’), the specific use cases are getting much better and I’m stoked to see how that continues.
Nah chief, it’s pretty groundbreaking. I mean we don’t know how to specifically target existing connections to strengthen the sheathe between existing brain cells, but connecting two brain cells at all, manually, is such a feat
“With an apple silicon architecture, 8gb is like 16gb” -some stupid apple flunkey
Yeah I agree with the idea of once I beat a really good game I want to support the creator more. Baldurs Gate 3 was so good, and there was nothing to buy, so I bought another copy for a friend. Who later bought his wife a copy.
What is the gender crowd and how do I get their free cash you speak of?
At first I thought it had to do with lootbox mechanics and scheduling and reward system gaming, but nope, this one was straight up just “he played vidja too much and I’m afraid of him when I take away his games”
Loops…kind of sucks. I get the point of it, but I tried using it like 15 minutes a day for a couple weeks to get used to it, but the features are lacking and the content is…well it’s filled with people who would abandon tiktok and other apps, so, it’s kind of boring.
Not in a ‘there’s no brainrot’ way, in a ‘this is the third video in a row of just random AI slop and then it’s just some dude filming a tree for 20 seconds’.
