I’m saying I don’t trust 1Password. The OP asked for 1Password vs. Bitwarden. To me, Vaultwarden = Bitwarden and 1Password = Closed source crap.

I like both. But many people don’t even realize that nano has quite a lot of configuration options. To me, they’re text editors, not code editors. For code, I use VSCode (or “code”, the FOSS variant).

Arch. It’s a “build-your-own” distro without the hassle of compiling everything from source, like with Gentoo (still love Gentoo, though). Also, it has pretty big repos with the AUR on top of that.

And no, it’s not unstable, if you can read. My oldest Arch install was 5 years old and even then, it didn’t break. I just wanted to do a fresh install for no particular reason.

At this point in time, there are clear advantages to the current federated system, but there are also clear disadvantes, like what you’re describing, as well as some other things, like the different rules and moderation techniques of instances, defederation, etc.

Yes, I figured. My domain name is not as cool as “shitjustworks” or whatever. But I can say that my instance is gonna stay for as long as Lemmy as software is supported, no matter if there are many users or not. I strongly believe that FOSS and the Fediverse are the future and I want to give something to the community by hosting the instance.
