You could do a vpn hosting by yourself.

Meaning your server is basically a vpn tunnel server and you can connect from the Internet to it. Once you are in the encrypted vpn connection you have access to the local network.

If you have dynamic ip you need dns though. But no one can connect just because they know the ip)/dns

To be clear while that is true there are games that won’t work at all on Linux, because of anticheat.

The problem with that argument is, that you can translate that to games, movies, books and basically everything. What if a person isn’t satisfied by killing people in pc games? What if they go into real life?

That argument is only valid for people who can’t differentiate between reality and fiction. And usually those people need medical help.
