Am I the only one who doesn’t enjoy the twitter-takes? Don’t get me wrong, I actually agree with most of the takes. It’s just that it all feels like they’re trying to one-up each other with the cleverest gotcha and it makes me roll my eyes. Maybe I’m just not the target audience for a twitter/mastodon style community
I would imagine it working just like on reddit and lemmy, where it can originally be claimed by the original poster or anyone who wants it. It’s obviously not an ideal solution, but it’s worked well enough historically. Maybe someone else would have a better idea
Eh I see what you mean but technically reddit has always been up front about it being volunteer, and they did give them the choice to step down instead of reopening. So I can’t see it being held up in court

Idk that I’d call them more principled so much as differently principled. Like yeah, they do make good products and are banking on a good reputation with their customers. But they’ve also founded their business on exclusivity, planned obsolescence, and child labor
I’m probably only really a week into all this stuff and I feel like I have a solid layman’s grasp of it all. You’ll get there too :)
