Divinci Code was great! Are you planning any new novels?
Its my first server, and I’m not a network admin. Guess I’m not fluent in the lingo.
I run a headless Ubuntu server and Mint as my daily driver. I tried Pop OS first, which was great, other than I hated the task bar and had some problems with some apps. I also tried Kubuntu which gave me problem after problem. Mint made everything easy.
I installed pop os yesterday after repeatedly saying I hate Microsoft all week. Bye windows 11!
Sure let’s start a witch hunt banning people and companies who don’t align with our unique individual politics. What could go wrong?
I’ve been using gimp for years as a Photoshop alternative. Tons of tutorials, and I’ve always been able to do what I needed.
Its great that there are alternatives for those who want them!
What’s a decent game i should try made by Godot?
I’m smart enough to know you’re looking for a calculated estimate, yet dumb enough to add “I did it” for you to add to your count. Happy counting!
Thank you! I’m a new user to linux. Went through 4 distros this month until this one, that doesn’t seem janky and runs my games at a decent FPS. Having to reconfigure my monitors each reboot was a dealbreaker for me. Your simple instructions worked flawlessly, and i’ve had 3 reboots without having to change my settings.
I’m not sure if linux is my new forever home yet, but this definitely helps!
I used signal for 2 years. Only got 2 friends to join. Dropped it when they removed SMS. I’ve settled for Facebook messenger lite and my social life is booming again.
Thank you to everyone’s support. I did not expect as much support as you all provided. I’m happy to announce a huge success! Ubuntu is installed, I’ve overcome several hurdles, and have a few more to go. I’ll try to post in next week to summarize my progress and challenges.
I read this earlier and you convinced me to try Ubuntu. Initially not a fan of the way it looked, but customization seems limitless. It’s been less than 10 hours, but it’s already starting to look like ‘mine’. I’m sure that will evolve plenty in time.
Yes exactly. I switched BIOS to load ubuntu, and it’s working perfectly! I needed to flip back to windows for some info and it was a breeze to reboot between both.
Good to know, thanks!
Sorry what i meant was the NVMe will be used only for Linux. My existing HD with Windows will be untouched. No partitions needed.
I use syncthing on Android with synctrazor on windows to sync my photos between phone and desktop. Then just use default photo viewers on each native system. Backed up on protondrive.
I will do that, thank you for the feed back!
Mostly echoing what’s already been said, but i use Ikea and aliexpress tuya bulbs. The Ikea ones I like best, and the Tuya i only use for RGB. They arent as bright, but they arent bad for the price.
