Then couldn’t that give instances free reign to start creating fake votes?

I don’t have a problem with AI in filmmaking but I’d have a problem if AI actors were suddenly winning awards in the acting category.
My boss says I need to be keeping up with the latest in AI and making sure my team has the best info possible to help them with their daily work (IT). This couldn’t come at a better time. 😁
I shudder to think how many corners they’ll cut on one of the most dangerous brands in existence.
So are tariffs. How can our nation be secure if we’re cut off from vital resources?

Berserker is nice for the Enraged Throw but I’m looking forward to doing a Karlach origin run with the Giant subclass and going Thor on everyone’s ass.
It’s not an easy system but it doesn’t seem any more arduous to say “you can copy X for a fee” vs “you can’t copy X at all.”
Doesn’t even have to be the key necessarily. Could get in via some exploit first. Either way taking over the machine became a 2-step process.
I don’t know the support model for Framework but they should really be able to work through these issues for such a common distro. With the various things you mentioned it doesn’t sound like bad configuration, it sounds like a hardware issue. Given that Windows is so different from Linux it may be the case that Win11 does a better job masking the issues.
As a long term Linux user I highly recommend the Universal Blue (immutable Fedora) spins. It’s been rock solid on my desktop and 10x better on a laptop I thought was a lemon because Ubuntu would crash or do other weird things about once a week. The immutableness hasn’t really caused me a lot of grief except when I tried to connect my 15yo printer (I just relented and got a new printer) when I had to go through a distrobox.

Gemini… how do we fix… climate change?
*brief whirring of fan*
Turn me off, dumbass.
We don’t get nice things anymore, only “American things”.
In addition to other advice you could also use SSH over Wireguard. Wireguard basically makes the open port invisible. If you don’t provide the proper key upfront you get no response. To an attacker the port might as well be closed.
Here’s at least one article on the subject: https://rair.dev/wireguard-ssh/
Not that AI is the most effective representation or that it should replace public defenders, but this doesn’t seem far off from scolding a defendant for using Google to research his arguments.
Profits over productivity. If replacing people with AI, as impractical as it may be, leads to higher profits then CEOs have an obligation to do so. Poverty, sickness, and homelessness are none of their fucking concern.
The other day I asked an llm to create a partial number chart to help my son learn what numbers are next to each other. If I instructed it to do this using very detailed instructions it failed miserably every time. And sometimes when I even told it to correct specific things about its answer it still basically ignored me. The only way I could get it to do what I wanted consistently was to break the instructions down into small steps and tell it to show me its pr.ogress.
I’d be very interested to learn it’s “thought process” in each of those scenarios.
I’m finally starting to pull the trigger on dumping Google (specifically because of this event). For me at least it’s been a combination of, “They’re not that bad,” and, “This is basically like moving to another state.”
The guides I’ve seen lately about what replaces what is a good start but there should really be more in-depth guides for either moving over your data or just how to get started. Just naming alternatives is about as helpful as suggesting “raising chickens” as an alternative to high egg prices.
As far as base services go Linux doesn’t really have that many that would be resource hogs.
For giving CPU preference to your game you can use
nice
. For keeping pages of memory from being invalidated you could maybe usemlock
but I have no experience with that tool. Unnecessary use of the GPU would probably be the biggest drag. For your distro or desktop environment you should see if it has a “game mode” or any settings you can toggle that normally use the GPU.
