Nice post man! Played this when it was originally released and had a bit of fun both by myself and playing coop. Definitely a solid game.

Ubisoft has really been screwing the pooch recently though. Like overall as a company. Their CEO has been repeatedly shooting himself in the foot saying dumb shit about being okay about not owning your games, etc. Idk, guess I’m just pessimistic.
Thank you! I know you’ve been told plenty of times by others, but it should always be said: I greatly enjoy these and appreciate the time you put into them!
As for what I’ve been playing: Pacific Drive released an update for ‘Endlesd Expeditions’. It wasn’t exactly what I was hoping, but I actually ended up greatly enjoying it. I believe the additional Story for it may be bugged as I’ve done close to 15 runs with no voice likes from Francis, but been a blast anyway.
I also tried the play test for a game called Little Rocket Lab. If you’re a fan of Stardew Valley and factory type games I highly recommend giving it a go!
I’d actually never heard this angle but sounds legit. Cutting corners sounds pretty typical of talking head yltyoes that want to try to cut costs no matter what.
I’ll be honest I find the ray tracing shit s gimmick that eats up too much resource. I’d much rather just have some awesome games to play, with good looks or not. PC gaming for me has always been about variety anyway. The console looking better never meant anything.
This was literally my reaction when reading this. Who the fuck needs to be so connected they need to know immediately when vacuuming. Heaven forbid it waits 5 minutes until you’re done.
I’d much sooner assume that they’re just fucking stupid and talking out of their ass tbh.
Dude the ads on menu shit is horrific. I loaded up DOOM 2016 the other day and literally the menu, in the fucking game, is a selector between the game I installed and a selector for DOOM Dark Ages that I don’t own. What the fuck. This is why I hate games being always online even if strictly multiplayer. That game is damn near a decade old and theyre shoving updates to it just in hopes of sales. /rant
Nah dude, not boring at all. You’re improving yourself and commenting on your process may be a push for someone to start their own journey. For me at least it showed I’m not the only one out there with this similar chain of thought. Thanks for sharing!
This sounds like exactly what I need to go pro with my APIs as I deal with it at my job a lot but there’s usually a frustration to these types of games that just makes me uninstall it. Hoping this is different for me as I really do want to improve myself.
It’s already been getting pretty unbearable over the last few years anyway, but I’m probably being a grumpy bitch.
Dude I’m with you. I want off this fucking ride.
Thanks! I appreciate it. I actually do still use it, my comment was just more toward the changes they’ve made and my perceived inability to remove or change it.
The ‘Plex suggestions’, the constant return of rental prices when doing a search instead of just my media library. I had to remove a bunch of menu items they automatically added without my cosent during their last major update which seems to be when it all started. The search bit is especially angering because it’s lagging load times as it’s searching these online sources for rentals I don’t want instead of just pulling up the returns on my local media server. If there’s a setting disabling it I must have missed it because when they introduced the garbage I immediately scoured the settings to try and turn it off. Those are the main two off the top of my head.
Honestly ever since Plex started going the enshittification route and hocking their fucking bullshit instead of just being a home server it’s been irritating the shit out of me. The only thing they aren’t doing at this point is adverts live vids.
Okay thanks! Happy gaming!
95 percent of the folks I’ve known literally get them as a ‘oh my Amazon package is here’ device, not for security. Granted security is a bonus, but if you actually wanted security you’d get perimeter cams, not a doorbell with a very limited FoV.
That pic is great, haha. Woman looks so smug.
Always appreciate your posts man! Thanks for taking time out of your day to add content to Lemmy! I have a question: I’ve played Control which references Alan Wake and the story definitely piqued my interest. I do own the first but haven’t played it. At this point should I play the first before the second? Or just go with the second one?
Horror/action: Dead Space.
FPS/time manipulation: Singularity.
Factory/combat(optional): Dyson Sphere Project
Singularity still stands up as it’s graphics are decent. Super cheap on GoG. Dead Space if you get the original would be cheap. HD remaster would be more. If you love factory games but have never played DSP god damn do I wish I was you. Recommend playing without combat enabled on first run to just enjoy how gorgeous the game is and to help with learning everything before throwing in combat management
