judging by this statement, this ceo would rather have the pedophiles and ban children
Mr Zaslav, the CEO of WB, the company who owns the rights, doesn’t want WB to be profitable so he can sell it off to a private equity firm and make out like a bandit with his CEO bonus intact
If they’re on facebook, they prolly want something as close to facebook as possible, and the only one I can think of is Nextdoor. Only problem is it’s mostly 50 year olds complaining about their neighboorhods’s minor problems or local contractors advertising themselves over and over again. Other than that, it’s pretty much facebook tit for tat without the zucc. But they got easy invite links so we could prolly change it for the better, even if that’s a massive pipedream
In public sure, but this is the internet, where the Streisand effect is the unifying order of the week. It’s why the age old saying “bad press is better than no press” exists
I’ve seen so much from/about that game I forgot that you can still spoil it for some people. I just knew everyone knew about it, given how it enveloped the internet for a brief time after it was out
for me, it was discoverability. Like, several guides said “use tags” but 4 out of 5 people DON"T. And more often than not, when you do search the tags, you see several posts that aren’t what you wanted at all. Or worse, the tag you search doesn’t have any posts newer than several months to a year. Basically it relied on an honor system where few people had honor.

I get the frustrations of Moshidon. I couldn’t save a picture from my mastodon account cause there was no direct download, and it took me like 40 minutes to figure it out, and even then I think I just screencapped and cropped it
aside from what everyone else said, they killed the beloved Unreal Tournament series, which is a huge sour spot for older gamers who fondly remember those. Then there’s the excessive microtransaction demand inside Fortnite, a game with a large playerbase under the age of 18. That alone led to two major lawsuits that they both lost
I remember seeing ads on my phone saying “if you bought a game on steam, you could be entitled to financial compensation” since like a year and a half ago. I didn’t look any further cause I didn’t wanna see a thousand ads for legal mumbo jumbo, but I just thought there were a few isolated incidents of ripoff pricing or phony game sales
I’d be wary about using a translator, even if you use one that accounts for grammar and double meanings like deepL. Tho that’s based on a comment I saw from game developer Katsuhiro Harada. He says he prefers English speaking players just type in English so he can translate himself cause oftentimes the player will translate something incorrectly and confuse him. All in all it really depends on who I guess.
