I’m trying to find out a list of companies using stripe and I think it would be easier to list ones not using it… What I’m getting is basically any time I spend money online, and sometimes in person, they get a cut

Factorio: Nothing more to be said here Terraria: Just such a good game with devs that truly care about it. I’ve been playing it forever Eco: Serious love/hate with this game. I’m tired of trying to save servers that are on the verge of collapse because of capitalist ideas Morrowind: :3
They’ve been saying it’s the final major update for the last like 4 major updates
And people not discussing is better how?
Defining ownership as “can I sell this” is ridiculous
A VR mech game could be so baller. Also a remake of Black and White would work well. But generally yeah it’s just not a great medium for most games and while we have a lot of promising hardware we’re struggling to find ways to use it intuitively
I think after the bubble breaks it does down a bit well see some groups take their time to build really functional stuff. We don’t have good standards on how to interact in VR and it shows. We don’t have enough data on how to make people less motion sick. Basically the hardware is there but the software isn’t and that’ll take more time than we’ve been giving it, imo
Realistically though I think the fundamental limits on how you can interact in VR means while there may be a strong niche market, I don’t expect it to be a mainstream thing. Even if the prices drop a lot and the headsets get smaller there’s still a lot working against them
Looks like $1.20 in today’s money, assuming usd. That would add up fast lol, I’d have gotten banned from the computer instantly
Only one needs to have charge though right? It’ll just drain really fast. Or am I misremembering
Honestly even if I did I’d preserve the page as is, beautiful
Then there’s me, in my 30s, some professional dev experience like 10 years ago that ruined me for years, looking to get back into the industry because everything else I’ve tried makes me feel hollow
What about a bash script that calls your CI/CD because the system is so old and complex anyone learning how to use it immediately builds a 1-off tool to hide what they don’t need but then everyone starts relying on that 1-off bash script so you extend the functionality then replace it with a proper tool then let that rot so you need a new bash script to call that to hide the useless parts?
“pay that debt later on”, nothings more permanent than temporary. In my experience things are more likely to default than get paid lol
Remember that one time in Batman where they built a mass surveillance program using phones and decided it was so morally objectionable they immediately destroyed it after?
Wait if it stands for Ronald’s Universal Number Kounter, does that mean both the creator and current maintainer are named Ronald? Is it a dread pirate kinda deal where whoever holds the hat takes the name?
Not sure why you’re getting down votes because this is the way. If you want something, be open and ask for consent. Just be okay with people saying no, too, and you’re good
I made a spreadsheet where one column would timestamp each row when the task note column was edited. Then another column that just checks time between timestamps to tell me how long was spent on a task. Another column was used for formatting so I could quickly copy/paste everything into the system at the end of the day
I actually did this at my previous job. They wanted me to time track everything I did to the minute so I started adding time spent tracking my time. Boss hated it but couldn’t really do anything to get me to stop
Morrowind, Factorio, Terraria
In the past when I’ve had to migrate emails I’ll set up automatic forwarding for anything important like that. Then switch the services you can. Idk if something like that could work for you and it is admittedly a bit of a pain to keep track of. Could limit MS influence on your stuff though
