Way too much logic with this approach for a game publisher/company to follow. Gotta milk every IP for all its worth, seperatley, to get the biggest cash cow’s out of the nothing burgers served.
Of course the US government are going after open-source licensing. God damn bunch of public/private revolving door leeches. Any good thing in this world and their immediate reaction is " alright, but how can I extort the thing for all it’s got".
Not sure about engines, but when you “break in” a horse that doesn’t seem like much of a “rest” for the horse. More so indoctrination or submissive tactics.
