It’s going to be near completion (if they ever start it) and EA will sell respawn (or themselves) to a much larger company who’s executives will look at it and think “this doesn’t look enough like a live service hero shooter, and what are these “titans”? This isn’t japan!!” and cancel the entire project and shutter the studio a week before reveal.
The sick irony is that between the 2 distinct approaches to titans, there’s room for a fantastic hero shooter where the titans function as long run ults.
The PC / meatbag is a generic or, fuck it, a Apex bro/sis, and their ult is a Titanfall. Add some leveled / unique loadout options like 1 to the focused classes of 2 and its an easy win.
At least it is for this nerd on the internet who knows fuck all about VG development and mainstream gaming habits in 2025.
Man… we’re really never getting a Titanfall 3, are we?

Hah, I like your optimism! In reality they’ll shutter the studio a week after the reveal.
