If the show is as good as described in this article (I haven’t seen it yet) I feel that it will be more inspirational rather than pacifying. I might be to optimistic in this, but when I see parallels between my life and fiction and feel connected with the decisions characters go through, it often inspires me and gives me new insights into myself. Rather than this being a barrier to actual change or action, it becomes a source of motivation and better understanding of myself and my capabilities.
The first season had an inspirational theme, but so far the episodes in the second one seem more concerned with Star Wars lore, than with sending any particular message.

I would hope yeah. I do think the first season is pretty outstanding. Like imo it’s the best piece of star wars media and I don’t think it’s particularly close (though I am not a mega star wars fan by any means).
