    People don’t understand that the average programmer’s EQ is in the top decile because they’re forced to work through the stages of grief several thousand times a year

    A few years into my career I started identifying bugs that are too deeply rooted within the spaghetti. For those, I just skip to step 5 instantly. Not worth the 2 years worth of reduced life expectancy trying to fix this shit.
